It’s all in the Mini detail….

style ideas for dressing down at the after party for your wedding…..

Revel in the end of the summer season with these ideas to keep those tanned pins on display for another few weeks at least ….

First up, a lightweight tweed dress in a 70s shift shape ( plenty of this dress shape knocking around as we go full throttle into the Autumn season ). This dress is everything in one accessories, embellishment, stylish and functional with its hidden pockets. It does fit into the 70s approach to length so your only getting the max nine inches here so some of you might want tights with this number. As for the heels I opted for the “wedges” a girls must have if the “car to club” option isn’t applicable.

Shoes: Aldo, Grafton Street Dublin

For the day outing the result was a printed mini in black and white Leopard print mini and staying in that retro decade the white kitten heels were “must haves”.
Think cool and casual, and wear a t-shirt over your skirt, this loose, floaty t-shirt with horizontal stripe was from “all Saints”. Plenty of stripey versions just like this one available from all Saints, House of Frazer and the unstoppable Penneys. With the focus all on the detail, little cutzy Cardigans just like this vintage option are essential, we might start needing those layers again for this Season. If your a sassy vintage shopper you will pick up a few of these gems. Some of these embroidered beauties have been spotted in Miss Selfridges in the form of the jacket of choice for this autumn the “Bomber Jacket”.

Staying on the topic of jackets, this crop one is often seen going from day to night …. the nautical stripe is seen every summer season in vertical or horizontal options. The crop is a super lightweight option.
One of the largest trends we say this season was the off the shoulder option on everything. This white off the shoulder top in crepe is a great buy for all shapes, the large floaty frill gives it an sassy feminine touch.

The mini (culottes shorts) can be slightly confusing, but this can create a very stylish shape. Great if your not 100% on the legs, the cullotes shorts can really elongate the legs. Patterned & plain versions seen this summer, with great options in New Look and Topshop.

Then if you want get some mileage out of your mini and maximize it’s versatility- just check out this tangerine version, with oversized gold buckles. Team it with a jumper or cardigan for a cozier nighttime look. This wrap around Cardigan has just the right amount of glam, wear tucked into your skirt to cinch in the waist on this one.
Then when paired with a statement clutch and platform sandals it will pull your look together. Check out Lulu G and Jimmy Choo for some statement clutch inspiration.
