Woolly Blues

Hi Ladies

Getting chilly out there but we want to feel blue it seems or at least wear it.  With an opulent royal blue  two piece suit seen on the Christopher Kane runway. Then there was a stunning jumpsuit with cutout detail @ Davis Koma hinting that perhaps the jacket & trousers combo will be our mistletoe match this Christmas.

Wearing an oversized wool coat from French Connection 330.89E with large lapels and large identical rectangular pockets to side seam. This coat is like a fluffy dream in the softest duckegg blue hue. I went a size down for a closer feminine fit, the super fluffy wool is just lightweight and beautiful. The coat fastens to the front with an oversized press stud fastening.

Teamed with a faux pleather bottle green skinny trousers from Forever 21. Really great fit with super high waist and side zip detail. If the calves are a little bit wider than you would prefer, there are little ankle zips so these pants pop on like a breeze, then zip back up for a super slim fit.

Think chunky heels if your something of a 70s-fanatic with full on embellishment and chunky heels available @ Pierre Hardy and chunky heels with Chinese print spotted at MIU MIU. Following the trend for full volume, todays wedge ankle boots are from Schuh two seasons ago. The Tan Brandy Boots 90 E from Schuh are a smart alternative for this season with the 70s chunky heel and front platform.

The Soft blue Clutch bag is an unbelievable vintage find and the finishing touch to any ensemble. This is a favourite from photo 4-8the Galway Best Dressed Lady 2013 outfit. Made from perspex with raised pattern detailing and a scalloped edge at the opening. Surprisingly  it fits my iphone and a lippie or three:) Check out Accessorize for some quirky casual and party clutches or stop and shop at Dolce and Gabbana for some full on embellishment and appliqué on your clutch.

Gloves are mirroring the love trend for kaki this Autumn as seen @ Ellie Saab where it featured as a head to toe colour. Gloves are made from polyester in a juniper green, with a scalloped detailing edge at the wrist. Found in a vintage store in France. Gold platted headband is from Accessorize a few seasons ago.
